Investigators from the Department of Research and Evaluation, Kaiser Permanente Southern California, Pasadena, CA, and Southern California Permanente Medical Group, Baldwin Park, CA, conducted a retrospective analysis to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and stay-at-home orders on the immunization status of children. Study participants were children 0–18 years old who were Kaiser Permanente Southern California (KPSC) members. Vaccination data were abstracted from the medical records of identified patients during multiple time periods, including the “stay-at-home” period (March 15 to May 6, 2020) and the “reopening” period (May 7 to August 31, 2020). Vaccination data during these periods were compared to those from the corresponding periods in 2019.
