Child Lures award

Child Lures, an AAP-endorsed program preventing child sexual abuse and abduction, recently received the National Education Association (NEA) Award for the Advancement of Learning through Broadcasting. The program was recognized by the West Virginia Education Association, an NEA affiliate, after its broadcast on WCHS-TV8 in West Virginia.

The NEA award recognized the news-series component of Child Lures. Other components include a family guide, a school program for sexual-abuse prevention and the Child Lures seminar, "Violent Crimes Against Children & Youth." All components outline prevention techniques and explain the 14 most common ways child molesters lure their victims.
