At first, Mary Zupanc, M.D., FAAP, didn't notice that her mail had stopped coming. Married to a man whose last name is Jones, Dr. Zupanc continued to receive mail addressed with her husband's name.

But in November 1995, she became suspicious when her medical journals failed to arrive. She called the New England Journal of Medicine office to inquire about her subscription.
