I want to be just like Dr. Leila Denmark when I grow up — compassionate, spirited, career-minded, independent, considers her work "play," well-loved and still going strong at 100.

Did I forget to mention that she golfs and walks over a mile daily?

Never mind that she's believed to be the oldest living pediatric practitioner in the United States. "What's 100?" she shrugs, turning her attention instead to the 70 years she has spent as a pediatrician, "teaching mothers how to care for their babies."
