A new organization, the North American Society of Pediatric Exercise Medicine, has been established to promote the clinical and scientific relevance of physical exercise to child health.

Created in August 1986, the North American Society of Pediatric Exercise Medicine opens its membership to physicians, other health professionals and scientists who work on issues related to the exercising child.
