Paulson, M.D., FAAP, a member of AAP Council on Environmental Health, testified last month before the U.S. Senate’s Environment and Public Works Committee on the importance of safe drinking water for children. He focused on the adverse effects of certain water contaminants on children’s health and providing recommendations for maintaining and improving the safety of drinking water across the United States.

Disaster Preparedness Advisory Council Chair Steven E. Krug, M.D., FAAP, met with federal officials in November about children’s needs in disasters.
