An incorrect dose for oxycodone was provided in the September article “It’s time to rethink use of codeine in pediatric patients” ( At the end of the article, where suggested alternatives for codeine are given, the dose for oxycodone should be 0.05-0.15 mg/kg/dose.

The article in the August issue “Pioneering pediatricians share more than a passion for their profession” about the first African-American female AAP members ( misstated the scenario when Drs. Natalia Tanner and I. Blanche Bourne took their boards together in 1951. Dr. Tanner said at that time, there were only 19 black doctors in the Academy, not in the exam room, and all of them were men.
