As mentioned previously, I’m continually impressed with the number of issues being addressed by our Academy. I think it’s important that members also are aware of the breadth of this work as well as the opportunities for involvement at the national, district and chapter levels.

Getting involved with some of these Academy endeavors is an excellent way to optimize your passion for advocacy, practice-related issues, and the promotion of child health and well-being, Thus, I want to keep you “in the loop” by highlighting some of the meetings I’ve attended recently.

The AAP Board of Directors met in mid-May. Discussions focused on strategic planning and reports from the oversight committees that govern the work of the Academy.
