The AAP Medical Home for Children Exposed to Violence has awarded five visiting professorships to improve health care providers’ understanding and skills to assess and care for children exposed to multiple types of violence. Awardees are the University of Vermont; the Center for Family Safety and Healing at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio; the AAP Maine Chapter; Texas Children’s Hospital; and Harbor UCLA Medical Center, Torrance, Calif. The professorships were supported by a grant from the Department of Justice.
