Help spread the word about the importance of early oral health with free outreach materials from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). National Children’s Dental Health Month in February is an ideal time to help reach a national goal to improve access to dental care for children enrolled in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Pediatricians can order free fliers, posters and tear pads in English and Spanish to inform parents to “Think Teeth” and help eligible children receive routine preventive dental care, including teeth cleanings, checkups, X-rays, fluoride, dental sealants and fillings. Materials can be shared with child care providers, preschool and Head Start programs, Women, Infants and Children programs, faith-based and other community service organizations.

To order materials, visit http://productordering.cms.hhs.gov. Register in advance of ordering and include “Connecting Kids to Coverage” in the “Why I Need Access” field. Digital versions can be downloaded...
