When it came time for Richard Tuck, M.D., FAAP, to choose a specialty, his thoughts rested solely with his desire to help children and their families.
Everything else — such as financial considerations and the long hours — never crossed his mind. He would go into pediatrics for the purest of reasons.
“When I got into practice, I realized how much work it really is,” Dr. Tuck said. “I took a step back and really thought about what I was doing and I came to the realization I was truly in this because I love it. I’m meeting people’s needs. Ever since that moment, I’ve never looked back on my decision.”
