AAP Life Member Cornelia Carithers, M.D., of Jacksonville, Fla., died Aug. 20; she was 75. Dr. Carithers was a former medical director of the City of Jacksonville Public Health Well Baby Clinics. She earned her medical degree at Cornell University Medical College.

Angelo Ferrara, M.D., FAAP, of New York, died Oct. 15 of cancer; he was 57. Dr. Ferrara had been a professor of pediatrics at the New York University School of Medicine, director of the Infant Transport System of New York City, and the director of neonatology at New York University-Bellevue Hospital.
