This letter is in response to the article on "Protests From `Animal Rights Activists' Threaten Child Health," by Myron Genel, M.D., FAAP, in your May 1989 newsletter.

I am a board certified pediatrician subcertified in allergies. I experimented on animals in medical school. I thought then, and until four years ago when I acquired Sweet Thing, that anyone who was an antivivisectionist was wrong; even stupid because of the benefits to mankind from vivisection.
