The Academy and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) are publishing a manual on "Advanced Pediatric Life Support."

The manual was originally developed as a text for the Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS) Course that has been offered at various locations nationwide. The text provides pediatricians with the information necessary to assess and manage critically ill or injured children during the first hour in an emergency, said Maureen De Rosa, director of the AAP Division of Marketing.
