The Healthy Kids TV Show, the only television series wholly devoted to child health care issues, premieres April 3.

The half-hour cable TV series — produced by Cahners Publishing in association with the Academy — is targeted to parents of children ages birth through four years. Airing on the Family Channel (FAM) on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the show will cover topics including growth and development, nutrition, safety, illness and behavior, said Lisa Reisberg, director of the AAP Division of Public Education.

The show complements Healthy Kids magazine, also a joint Cahners Publishing-AAP project, Reisberg said.
