Bob Keeshan, known better as television "Captain Kangaroo," was recently named an honorary AAP Fellow.

When he received honorary membership certificate at the AAP District II meeting in New York, Keeshan said that most people, despite their family-loving rhetoric, fail to value children.

Keeshan has been a children's advocate for more than 40 years. He will be the guest speaker at the spouse luncheon at the 1990 AAP Annual Meeting in Boston. He is also a member of the AAP Partnership for Children.
