In the study, parents attending a nationally affiliated health maintenance organization volunteered to fill out a socio-demographic form and the Skin Cancer Knowledge and Practice Survey (SCKPS). The SCKPS was split into questions about skin cancer knowledge and questions identifying sun avoidance behavior.
