Nearly 5 percent more medical school seniors were assigned to U.S. pediatric residencies as compared with last year, according to recently released data from the National Resident Matching Program.
Some 86.9 percent of U.S. pediatric residencies were filled this year, according to NRMP data. There were, however, 22 fewer U.S. pediatric residencies, down from 2,068 in 1992 to 2,046 this year.
