Author Graham Greene once wrote "There is always one moment in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in." AAP President Howard Pearson, M.D., said at the Spring Session that this is the time to "Open the door and let the future of our children in."

The Academy, he said, can play a vital role in assuring that care is provided to all, but admitted that such a task may not be easy.
