The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced recalls of the following product. Consumers should stop using recalled product unless otherwise instructed.

Distributor: L.L. Bean, of Freeport, Maine
Hazard: A small metal zipper tab on the infant booties can detach,posing a choking hazard to young children.
Description: The booties were sold in infant sizes 1-6 in a tan or pink suede. They have rubber soles and a zipper closure at the ankle. The booties are lined with creme-colored faux shearling acrylic/polyester fleece.“L.L. Bean” is printed in white letters on the soles.
Sold at: L.L. Bean catalogs, Web sites and retail stores in Maine,New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia from July through December 2006 for about $16.50.
Remedy: Take the recalled booties away from children and contact L.L. Bean to receive a refund.
