The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Hazard: Lamps may overheat, causing the adhesive inside the lamp socket to melt and move into the bulb area of the socket.
Description: Four styles are recalled: striped with navy-colored head, sky blue and white stripes and blue lamp base (UPC 490970221923); sports with white head, baseball stitch pattern and blue lamp base (UPC 490970222685); dot with white head, lines of multicolored dots and lavender lamp base (UPC 490970224047); and flower dot with pink head, pattern of white flowers and leaves and pink lamp base (UPC 490970221947).
Sold at: Target stores and Target.com from January through April 2011 for about $13.
Remedy: Return to store for refund.
