Open windows pose danger
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), warns consumers to keep children away from open windows to prevent falls.
Window falls cause about 70 deaths annually. CPSC officials state. Twenty-five percent of the deaths occurred in children 10 years and younger.
To help prevent falls from windows. CPSC officials advise consumers to:
• Avoid placing furniture near windows to keep children from climbing to a window seat or sill.
