Assisting disabled children

In consonance with the American Academy of Pediatrics' strong commitment to the health and welfare of all children, including children with disabilities identified at birth or early in life, and its continuing desire to assist parents and families of such children, the Academy resolves the following:

1.) To advocate for the development of carefully designed and effective early identification and comprehensive programs for disabled infants and young children;
