In an effort to further inform parents about vehicle safety, the AAP "Make Every Rode ... A Safe Ride" program is offering three new educational brochures to Academy members and other physicians.

Enforcement Strategies: For Child Passenger Safty Laws reviews the necessity of child safety seats and details ways in which individuals and organizations can work to encourage compliance with state laws. Children And Car Safety: Making Friends With A Safety Seat provides practical tips on how parents can overcome the "rough spots that discourage car seat and seat belt use at certain ages." An Early Start: Getting The Jump On Teen Vehicle Safety instructs parents to help their children develop the "buckle-up habit" and handle the negative peer pressure that sometimes evolves when adolescents begin driving with peers.
