Folding infant carrier
Approximately 38,000 "Fold N'Travel" infant carriers, blamed in several serious head injury cases, are being recalled, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Playskool Baby Inc. of Northvale, N.J., is recalling the products after receiving 10 reports of children falling from the carriers, with seven infants suffering serious head injuries.
The lightweight plastic infant carriers, available in blue or teal with either fabric or vinyl pads, sold nationwide for $35 from April 1991 through 1993. The carriers were not manufactured after April 1993.
