Go Karts

Manco Products of Fort Wayne, Ind., is recalling about 300,000 Go Karts with exposed rear axles that could kill or seriously injure riders. One death and two serious injuries occurred in children ages 8 to 11 when hair or clothing became entangled in the axles.

The Go Karts were sold in outdoor power equipment stores and specialty department and hardware stores from January 1972 through June 1996 for $600 to $2,000. All Manco Go Karts with exposed rear axles are recalled.
