Charming Shoppes Inc. of Bensalem, Pa., is recalling 4,800 metallic heart-shaped medallion necklaces because they contain high levels of lead, reported the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Poisoning could occur if children get lead from the necklaces on their hands, then put hands in their mouths, or if they swallow lead directly from the necklace. The recall is preventive. Charming Shoppes Inc. has received no reports of illness or injury.
