Jump ropes
Klutz Inc. of Palo Alto, Calif., is recalling 66,000 hazardous jump ropes sold with the children's activities book, "Chinese Jump Rope." The elasticized ropes are joined together by metal crimps that might fail during use, resulting in injury.
Klutz has received 17 reports of ropes breaking apart and one injury report.
The $10.95 "Chinese Jump Rope" book with two ropes sold beginning in March through the Klutz catalog, major retailers and independent book, toy and gift stores.
