Evenflo car seats, carriers

Approximately 800,000 Evenflo On My Way infant car seats/carriers are being recalled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) because of a handle defect that can cause serious injury to children when the seats are being used as carriers.

The red button push assembly on each side of the seat that is used to latch and adjust the carrying handle can unexpectedly release, causing the seat to flip forward.

There have been 176 reports of this, resulting in 89 injuries, from bruises to concussions and skull fractures.
