Crib mattresses
Cosco Inc. of Columbus, Ind., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is recalling 62,000 crib mattresses that could trap a child. When a child stands in the crib, the mattress can be pushed between the bars on the crib's platform, causing the child to slip between the bars and become caught.
Twelve injuries and the death of an 11-month-old child have been reported.
The tubular metal cribs come in many colors, including red, white, mixed primary and mixed pastels. Mass merchandise and children's stores sold the product nationwide for up to $150.
