Blue's Clues toy notebooks

Colorbok of Dexter, Mich., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is recalling 3.8 million Blue's Clues toy notebooks because the ends of the coils can break off, presenting a choking hazard.

Although there have been no injuries, CPSC is aware of four of these incidents, and in three cases a parent was able to retrieve the items from the child's mouth.

The "Handy Dandy Notebook" includes a crayon and 14 wipe-off pages. The words "1998 Colorbok Paper Products Inc." appear on the notebook's back cover. Several versions of this notebook are available, but only the Colorbok is recalled. (Also, Colorbok notebooks with "version 2" on the back cover or lower edge of the packaging are not recalled.)
