A test that can diagnose specific reading disabilities in children and adults recently has been released in kit form, reports the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).
The Decoding Skills Test was developed primarily as a research tool to make testing for dyslexia more uniform nationwide. It also is expected to be used in the development of new methods to treat dyslexia.
