Improved HBPV vaccine
A new vaccine might prove effective in protecting children younger than 18 months old from Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), reports a study published in the Aug. 9 issue of Lancet.
One of every 250 children younger than five years old contracts Hib disease. Between 80 and 90 percent of those cases occur in children younger than 18 months old.
