The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced recalls of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed.
Product: Minnie Mouse cardigan sets
Units: 14,000
Distributor: Wal-Mart Stores Inc., of Bentonville, Ark.
Hazard: The ribbon woven around the neckline poses a strangulation hazard for children when the cardigan is buttoned.
Description: The pink cardigan, with a pink ribbon woven around the neckline and an embroidered Minnie Mouse, is sold as part of a three-piece set with a light pink turtleneck and denim pants. It was sold in sizes 12M, 18M,24M, 3T, 4T and 5T.
Sold at: Wal-Mart stores nationwide from July through August 2006 for $15.
Remedy: Consumers should take the recalled cardigan away from children and return the set to Wal-Mart for a refund.
