The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Food and Drug Administration have announced recalls of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed.
Children's chairs
Product: Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Musical Learning Chair
Units: 614,000
Manufacturer: Fisher-Price, of East Aurora, N.Y.
Hazard: A child can become lodged between the seat back and side table of the chair, possibly leading to entrapment of the neck and strangulation.
Incidents/injuries: Fisher-Price has received three reports of children getting their necks lodged between the seat back and the side table of the toy, including one report of a minor injury.
Description: The plastic chair plays music and teaches children numbers and letters. The table holds a clock, book and a lamp. The model numbers are H4609, H7167 through H7173, H8157, H8998 and J0272 through J0275,which can be found under the seat.
Sold by: Discount department and toy stores nationwide from May 2005 through January 2006 for $27.
Remedy: Consumers should take the recalled musical chair away from children and contact Fisher-Price to receive a free repair kit.

Children's outerwear
Product: Children's outerwear with drawstrings

Importer/retailer: Steve & Barry's University Sportswear, of Port Washington, N.Y.
Hazard: The garments have a drawstring through the hood, posing a strangulation hazard to children.
Description: The recalled garments are various color jackets, coats,sweatshirts and sweaters sold in youth sizes up to size 12 with drawstrings through the hood. Many of the sweatshirts have the names of colleges and universities on them. The style numbers are 15178, 16105, 16168, 16230, 16231,16257, 16509, 17197, 17285 and 18346, which are on a collar or side label.
Sold at: Steve & Barry's University Sportswear stores nationwide from January 2004 through December 2005 for $6 to $10.
Remedy: Consumers should remove the drawstrings or return the garment to the store where purchased for a refund.

Baby walker
Three firms have recalled baby walkers because they can fit through a standard doorway and are not designed to stop at the edge of a step. Babies using these walkers can be injured or killed.
Manufacturer: Bike Pro Inc., of Pico Rivera, Calif.

Description: The walkers are blue, green, pink and yellow. They have musical activity trays with various toys and themes, including rockets and a tank with an army print cloth seat, lights and a steering wheel with a teddy bear cloth seat, and a monkey's face with a teddy bear seat cloth.
Sold at: Independent discount stores in Arizona, California,Colorado, Michigan, Missouri, New York and Texas from January 2000 through January 2006 for $18 to $22.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using these walkers and return them to the store where purchased for a refund.

Description: The recalled walkers have eight wheels and an activity tray with interactive toys. The walkers are blue and pink with various designs on the cloth seat. “Imported by Ace Han Corp” is printed on labels on the walker base.
Sold at: Independent retail stores in New York and Philadelphia from April 2004 through January 2006 for $20 to $30.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled walkers and return them to the retailer where purchased for a refund.

Description: The recalled walkers have eight wheels and were sold in various colors, including dark blue, pink and white, or pink and red. The activity trays on the baby walkers have a steering wheel, rattles and a mirror or animal themes. The trays play music when the baby pushes a button.
Sold at: Retail toy stores nationwide from March 2001 through January 2006 for $20.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled walkers and return them to the retailer where purchased for a refund.

Baseball gloves
Product: Mizuno “Gamer” baseball gloves

Hazard: These gloves could contain aspergillus mold, which could cause respiratory or other infections in individuals who have chronic health problems or impaired immune systems.
Description: All Mizuno baseball gloves with the word“Gamer” printed on the palm of the gloves.
Sold at: Sporting goods stores nation-wide from July through October 2005 for $80.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the gloves and contact Mizuno USA Inc. for information on how to receive a free replacement baseball glove.

Teethers
Product: Liquid filled teethers
Importer: First Years, a subsidiary of RC2 Corp., of Stoughton,Mass.
Hazard: The liquid inside the teethers may contain Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas putida, which can cause serious illness in children if the teether is punctured and the liquid from the teether is ingested.
Description: This recall is for six different styles of liquid-filled teethers for infants ages 3 months and older to soothe gums. The six styles have the same general construction of a durable vinyl exterior with clear liquid pre-filled inside. Some designs have printed graphics while others have floating internal characters. The six styles include: Disney Days of Hunny Soft Cool Ring Teether, style# Y1447; Disney Soft Cool Ring Teether,style# Y1470; Disney Soft Cool Ring Teether, style# Y1490; The First Years Cool Animal Teether/Fish, Zebra and Dinosaur designs, style# Y1473; The First Years Floating Friends Teether, style# Y1474; and Sesame Beginnings Chill& Chew Teether, style# Y3095.
Sold at: Major retailers, grocery, drug and specialty stores from July 2005 to January 2006 for $2.99 to $3.99.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled teether. Consumers should include their mailing address to receive a replacement teether and free gift.
