The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced recalls of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed.
Product: Light-up yo-yo toy
Units: 200,000
Distributor: The Ruby Restaurant Group, doing business as Ruby's Diner Inc. and Ruby's Franchise Systems Inc., of Newport Beach, Calif.
Hazard: The yo-yo can separate and expose small parts, posing a choking hazard to young children.
Description: The recalled yoyo toys are clear plastic with red, blue or green tinted sides and light up while in motion. “Ruby's Diner”is printed on each side.
Distributed at: Ruby's Diner restaurants in Arizona, California,Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Washington from February through March 2006 included with the purchase of a kid's meal.
Remedy: Consumers should take the yo-yo from children and return it to the nearest Ruby's Diner for a free replacement toy.
