The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced recalls of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed.
Product: Clear glass candleholders
Units: 6,500
Distributor: Meijer, of Grand Rapids, Mich.
Hazard: The glue connecting the candleholder could fail causing the candleholder to fall apart. This poses a fire and laceration hazard to consumers.
Description: The clear glass candleholders are vase-shaped and measure about 11 inches tall. “At Home with Meijer” is printed on a label on the bottom of the candleholders.
Sold at: Meijer stores in the Midwest from September 2004 through November 2005 for $8.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled candleholders and return them to any Meijer store for a refund.
