The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced recalls of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed.
Product: Helix remote control micro helicopter
Units: 46,200
Manufacturer: Spin Master Toys, of Toronto, Canada
Hazard: The power supply controller can overheat posing a burn hazard to consumers.
Description and models: The 7-inch lightweight, plastic remote control toy helicopters come with a control unit, charger and preinstalled rechargeable batteries. This recall involves toys with date codes 06XXXXHM2,06XXXXHM8 and 06XXXXHM186, which are located on the bottom of the helicopter's body and on the inside of the controller's battery compartment.
Sold at: National retailers from July through early November 2006 for $100.
Remedy: Stop using the recalled toy helicopters and contact Spin Master to receive a replacement product.
