The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced recalls of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed.
Product: Baby Gund Woodles activity toys
Units: 18,900
Manufacturer: Gund Inc., of Edison, N.J.
Hazard: The wooden rings on the stuffed toy can break, posing a choking hazard to young children.
Description: The product is a soft, stuffed baby toy with a rattle inside and two smooth wooden loops on the ends of each arm. There are four different styles: Rumba Lion, style number 58553; Gazoo Giraffe, style number 58554; Wango Horse, style number 58555; and Tippy Cow, style number 58556.“Woodles” and the style number are on the sewn-in label.
Sold by: Independent specialty toy stores nationwide and in Canada from June 2005 through April 2006 for $12.
Remedy: Stop using these toys and contact Gund for a free replacement.
