The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced recalls of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed.
Product: Antique white furniture from the Cottage Collection
Units: 2,000
Importer: The Land of Nod, of Northbrook, Ill.
Hazard: Some of the recalled furniture contains paint with high levels of lead. Lead paint is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Description: The recall includes dressers, bookcases, armoires and shelves. Contact the Land of Nod to determine if furniture is included in this recall.
Sold by: Land of Nod catalog and Web site nationwide, and The Land of Nod stores in Illinois and Washington from September 2003 to August 2006 for $50 to $1,100.
Remedy: Stop using the recalled furniture. The Land of Nod will arrange for an exchange, credit or refund and offer consumers a gift card to be used toward a future purchase.
