The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced recalls of the following product. Consumers should stop using recalled product unless otherwise instructed.
The following products were recalled because they have high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Product: “Claudia Jublot” children's rings
Units: 115,000
Importer: Lari Jewelry Co., of New Orleans
Description: The recalled rings are silver with red paint and a simulated diamond cluster on the top.
Sold at: Big Lots! stores nationwide from October 2004 through January 2006 for about $3.
Remedy: Take this jewelry away from children and return it to the store where purchased for a refund.

Product: “Ultra Gear” bracelets
Units: About 86,400
Importer: DM Merchandising Inc., of Elmhurst, Ill.
Description: The re called bracelets are silver-colored chain bands that have assorted designs, including a snake and a sword.
Sold at: Gifts stores, dollar stores and small discount stores nationwide from July 2004 through January 2007 for about $1.
Remedy: Take this jewelry away from children and return it to the store where purchased or contact DM Merchandising for a refund.

Product: “Rachael Rose Kidz” rings

Description: The children's rings are silver- or gold-colored with designs or stones in a variety of colors. The rings come four to a package.
Sold at: Family Dollar stores nationwide from December 2005 through January 2007 for about $1.
Remedy: Take the recalled rings away from children and return them to any Family Dollar store or contact Shalom International for a refund.

Product: “Kidsite” necklace and earring sets

Importer: Crimzon Rose Accessories, of North Providence, R.I.
Description: The children's necklace and earring sets have birthstones made of plastic gemstones in various colors. The pendants on the necklaces are shaped like flowers on a silver-colored chain. The matching pierced earrings have round birthstones.
Sold exclusively at: Kmart stores nationwide from October 2001 through December 2006 for about $5.
Remedy: Take the recalled product away from children and return it to any Kmart store to receive a free jewelry set.
