The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced recalls of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed.
The following jewelry was recalled because it contains high levels of lead,which is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Product: Mood necklaces
Units: About 47,000
Importer: Rhode Island Novelty, of Cumberland, R.I.
Description: The recalled necklaces have multicolored pendants,including hearts, moons, dolphins, dragonflies, stars and butterflies that hang from a black cord.
Sold at: Carnivals, amusement parks, family entertainment centers and small discount stores nationwide, and through Rhode Island Novelty's Web site, www.rinovelty.com,from August 2005 through December 2006 for about $1.
Remedy: Take the jewelry away from children and return it to the store where purchased or to Rhode Island Novelty for a replacement jewelry item.

Importer: Claire's Boutiques Inc., of Hoffman Estates, Ill.
Description: The recalled necklaces have metal pendants shaped as monkeys, dolphins and frogs holding colored marbles, a fleur de lispainted in various colors, a silver and black fairy, silver-colored letters“BFF” with rhinestones, and tiny handcuffs painted in various colors. The pendants hang from silver-colored chains.
Sold exclusively at: Claire's retail stores nationwide from December 2005 through December 2006 for $5 to $11.
Remedy: Take this recalled jewelry away from children and return it to any Claire's store for a refund or a replacement product.

Description: The recalled necklaces are multi colored pendants shaped as hearts, crosses, moons, feet, stars, dolphins, shamrocks, teardrops,spiders, flip-flop sandals and butterflies that hang from a black cord.
Sold exclusively at: Accessories Palace in Lake Worth, Fla., and the Accessories Palace Web site, www.accessoriespalace.com,from September 2006 through February 2007 for about $1.
Remedy: Take the recalled jewelry away from children and return it to the Accessories Palace store for a refund or contact United Imports for information on how to receive a refund.
