The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced recalls of the following product. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed.

Product: Sesame Street, Dora the Explorer and other children's toys

Units: About 967,000

Importer: Fisher-Price Inc., of East Aurora, N.Y.

Hazard: Surface paints on the toys could contain excessive levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Description: The recall involves various figures and toys marked with “Fisher-Price” that were manufactured between April 19 and July 6 and were sold alone or in sets. The toys may have a date code between 109-7LF and 187-7LF on the product or packaging. For a list of recalled toys and their model numbers, visit www.service.mattel.com.

Sold at: Retail stores nationwide from May through August for $5 to$40.

Remedy: Contact Fisher-Price for instructions on returning the product to receive a voucher for a replacement toy of the consumer's choice(up to the value of the returned product).
