Hazard: The white fingerprint powder in the kits may contain asbestos, which is harmful if inhaled or ingested.
Description: The CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Fingerprint kits (product # 1204, 1213 or 1225) and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Forensic Lab kits (Product No. 1203).
Sold at: CBS, Toys “R” Us, Hammacher Schlemmer & Co. Inc., Walgreen Co., Amazon.com Inc., Buy.com Inc., Sears Roebuck and Co., Kmart Corporation and QVC Inc. on or before June 30, 2009.
Remedy: Stop using the product; it is part of a class-action settlement. Submit claims, which may be eligible for a refund under the proposed settlement, by Jan. 14, 2010.
