Hazard: The logo stamped on the boot’s insoles contains excessive levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Description: The 6-inch classic “scuffproof” boots are wheat-colored leather and sold in toddler size 4 through junior size 7. The model and manufacturer date codes are printed on a white tag inside the boots: model numbers: 34772, 34872 and 34972; date codes: 6456, 6556, 6656, 6756 and 6856.

Sold at: Shoe stores and specialty retailers nationwide from June through October 2009 for $50 to $70.
