The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Units: More than 1.7 million units (about 1.6 million toy workshop sets and trucks with the same toy nails were recalled in 2009).

Manufacturer: Little Tikes, of Hudson, Ohio

Hazard: The oversized, plastic toy nails pose a choking hazard to young children.

Description: Toy nails sold as part of 11 additional models of Little Tikes Workshop and tool sets have plastic red or blue nails and a large round head. Recalled models sold between 1994 and 2002 include: 4491, 4601, 0827, 4765, 0627, 4174, 4789, 4071, 0014, 4497 and 4201.

Sold by: Mass merchandise retailers nationwide from 1990 through 2004 for $25 to $100.

Remedy: Contact the company for replacement toy nails.
