The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.
Units: More than 10,000 wrist rattles and 11,000 pairs of baby booties in the United States and 600 wrist rattles and 700 pairs of baby booties in Canada

Hazard: The pom-poms attached to the wrist rattles and booties can detach, posing a choking hazard.
Description: The Monkeez & Friends wrist rattles and baby booties are made of knitted yarn, have a monkey head and a pom-pom attached, and come in multiple color combinations.
Sold by: Gift stores, drugstores, outlets and variety stores nationwide from June 2009 through March 2011. Rattles sold for about $5 and booties for about $13.
Remedy: Return to store where purchased or to Midwest-CBK for refund, or contact Midwest-CBK for a prepaid shipping label.
