The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Hazard: The plastic blades of the helicopter can detach during operation, causing cuts or scrapes.
Description: Toys are operated by manual rotary starters and sold as a unit of two helicopters in tan and black. “Military Copter” is printed on both sides of the manual starter.
Sold by: Rite Aid Corp. stores nationwide from January through May 2011 for about $7.
Remedy: Return to Rite Aid for a refund.
