The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.
Units: About 18,000 (additional sets were recalled in September 2010)

Hazard: Plastic knobs can break from the center of the stars, posing a choking hazard.
Description: Sold in sets of 12, 24, 36, 48 and 72 pieces, Mini Stars are made of opaque plastic. Each has six circular knobs protruding from a ring-shaped center and come in red, green, yellow or blue.
Sold at: Small retail stores and at Toys ‘R’ Us.com, Amazon.com and Walmart.com from January 2007 through December 2009 for $10 to $50.
