The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Hazard: Ornamental stars on the heel of the shoe can loosen and cut children.
Description: Recalled Keds girls’ rubber-soled shoes are black and pink with white trim and a pink loop on the heel. Style number KY40098A is printed on the underside of the tongue. Shoes were sold in girls’ sizes 12 to 5.
Sold at: Department stores and online from June through October 2011 for about $23.
